Studies have shown that stress level and heart rate are reduced when people are walking in the woods or in a park. You can almost immediately feel the tension unwinding when you enter a natural setting. You can achieve that effect in your own backyard with a good landscape design.

Why
Eder? Eder Nursery is probably one of the most beautiful
nurseries in the Midwest (compliments to Trautman Nurseries).
We have some of the oldest, largest, rarest trees in
the United States. We have taken pains to keep the natural
beauty of this property, even though it means fewer
plants per acre, and consequently lower profit. Both
Michael and Kathy agree that it is the personal touch
that they lend to every job that allows them to forge
a niche in this competitive market.
Personal service
is not the only thing that makes The Garden of Eder Nursery
and Landscaping stand out from its competition. They also
offer a wide variety of unusual plants, such as the state
record weeping white pine. Eder has some of the oldest
of certain varieties of plants in the Midwest. Also, the
nursery is old enough that customers can come in and see
what a certain tree will look like in 20 or 30 years.
With the advantage of seeing years down the road,
customers have a much better idea of what they are buying.
Affiliation
With Wisconsin Landscape Federation, Inc. (WLF) Since 1973 the Eders
have been affiliated with the WLF.
Kathy Eder has served many years on the Wisconsin Landscape
Contractors Association, most recently as treasurer. She
also served for years as chairman of the education committee,
and on the finance committee.
Computers Michael and Kathy have
been using computer based landscape design programs since
1993. However, their bookkeeping has been on computer
for much longer. The designing process has therefore become
more efficient. One thing that will always remain the
same with the Garden of Eder...is the need for customer
involvement. Computerization does not eliminate the need
for customer involvement and getting a personal landscape
the way they want it.
The Revolutionary War was fought in part by the fact that King George claimed all the white pines for himself, even if they were on private land. The 150 ft trees enabled him to have the best navy in the world, because he could make unhinged masts for his warships.
"We want to let you know how much we are enjoying our new landscape design. Each season brings its own beauty and we look forward to the view it affords. Your attention to detail and design is truly appreciated, as is the professionalism of you and your staff."
